Counselling for Anxiety

Anxiety is natural and normal and helps us cope with difficult situations and with many of the day to day challenges in our lives, such as starting a new job or moving house.

But normal anxiety can change into something more overwhelming, where we start to feel too much stress or worry, and we start to lose control and this threatens our physical, mental and emotional well-being.

For some people excessive anxiety starts to get in the way of you living your life, affecting your work, and relationships with friends and family.

  • Just going out of the house for some people can become a challenge
  • It may start to affect other parts of your life and may lead to side-effects such as panic attacks and depression.

Suffering from over-anxiety you may also be experiencing some of the following:-

  • Problems sleeping/nightmares
  • An inability to keep calm
  • Panic
  • Nervousness
  • Fear
  • Chest pains or palpitations
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Obsessive thoughts

Talking to a counsellor can help you learn to manage your anxiety and start to live the life you want.
